The Direct Giving Campaign

The Direct Giving Campaign happens all year long, with 3 main drives during the year: Fall Giving, Giving Tuesday and Spring Giving. Best of all, there is very little administrative cost, so almost 100% of the proceeds go directly to funding crucial programs. Direct Giving runs all year, but the sooner we meet our goal, the more we can free up our volunteer time for programs and community building!

We understand that your incomes may be impacted by the pandemic. Rest assured that we value your contributions of volunteerism, community spirit, and facilitating your children’s education remotely. Our requests for financial contributions are simply one piece of the PTA pie!

Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful school community, the PTA directly funds our art program, literacy consultant, teacher supply stipends, safety programs, homework support, and more. See a full list of PTA funded projects here.

What is the “Ask” Amount?

We know money may be tight and incomes uncertain. But we are often asked, “How much should I give?” The following is simply a guide to help answer that question. 

$500 per student would help us reach our tentative $200,000 2022-2023 PTA budgeted income. 

Last year, donations ranged from $20 to $5,000 per donor.

Please know that every donation amount makes a difference that benefits every student at DFES. We appreciate and welcome all levels of participation.

How to Donate

Donate online here. A PayPal account is not required to donate using PayPal. You can use your credit or debit card to make a one-time payment or recurring payment by clicking the "don't have a PayPal account" link after clicking the Donate button. If you do have a PayPal account, you can also log in and donate. 

Donate by check. When you donate by check, DFES PTA receives the full donation amount because there are no processing fees. To donate by check, make your check payable to "DFES PTA" (memo: Direct Giving Campaign) and send it to the address below. Please include your email address and we will email you a receipt for your tax purposes.

Corporate Matching

Did you know your company may have an employee or retiree matching-gift program? If so, when you donate to the DFES PTA, your current or past employer will donate a partial or equal amount to DFES PTA! Just ask your human resources administrator for details on how your company can join you in supporting DFES PTA. You may need to provide our NCES School ID: 063441011772.
