Hello and a warm welcome to all our new families joining our wonderful community! We are thrilled to have you on board and look forward to an exciting journey ahead.

New Family Playdate:For all families that have registered in the Spring, we will email you the information for our New Family Playdate, to help you and your little ones get acquainted with our school environment and meet fellow newcomers. It's a fantastic opportunity to make new friends and start building connections within our community. Stay tuned for more details on date, time, and location!

How to Join ParentSquare:ParentSquare is a PTA funded and volunteer run communication platform used for our school community communications, updates, and events. This is different from ParentVue, which is SFUSD’s communications platform to students and parents. New Families will be invited to enroll through email; if you have not received an email invitation to create a ParentSqaure account within 2 weeks of enrolling at the school, please email parentsquare@dfespta.org. Through ParentSquare, families can make and see posts, events, and sign ups. They can also directly message other families! Here is a quick tip sheet to get started. 

Room Parents:

Our dedicated room representatives play a vital role in fostering communication between teachers, parents, and the school administration. Becoming a room rep is a fantastic way to get involved, build connections, and contribute to your child's educational journey. Plus, it's a rewarding opportunity to play an active role in shaping the classroom environment and creating memorable experiences for all students. Stop, Drop & Go:Our school is truly lucky to have this morning drop off program, which has been an important service to our school community. Our program isn’t possible without our dedicated community volunteers.  Each classroom takes a turn in the fall and spring, so every family gets a chance to participate and continue this much needed program.

Sign up and volunteer on Vicente and 24th Ave every morning from 7:30am to 7:50am to ensure hassle-free drop-offs for our community. Cars simply pull up, let students safely exit the car with the help of our parent volunteers, and off they go to start their day!

Morning Circle:

We cordially invite all families to join us for Morning Circle every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is the time for announcements and rotating share outs from each classroom throughout the year. Please remember that school starts promptly at 7:50 am. Give yourself enough time to find parking if you plan to join your child in the yard before school begins. 

Donation Information:

Your contributions make a significant difference in enhancing your child’s school experience. Whether it's through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or donating supplies, every bit of support is deeply appreciated.
